Back to Crowne Pointe Historic Inn & Spa (The) Wasn't up to expectations We celebrated our 42nd anniversary there. Evening meal and service was excellent; however; the daily breakfast included in the room rate left much to be desired. Coffee, etc along with danish, bagels and english muffins plus a 1 choice entree which was eggs and sausage both days. No bacon, fruit salad, or other choices were offered.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 26 2009 GREAT GET AWAY MUST STAY My honey and I went stayed at the Crowne Point to have a marriage ceremony. The atmosphere was so beautiful. I was not too cold during our stay it was actully rather warm. The staff was very nice and accomodating. The hotel restaraunt had excellent food. The highlight of the stay was the spa options. The availability of the sps really helped us relax and really enjoy the serenity of the Inn. We where in the Presidential suite which cam with a romantic fireplace. Our ceremony was held in the room and the with the help of a good photogpher and excellent planning the pictures captured the romantic appeal of the room and the intimacy of the ceremony....when ever we visit again will be staying here and only here.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 18 2009 Wedding Anniversary My husband decided to make reservations for the Pamper Me Three Times Package. We were not disappointed-the Teddy Bear room was beautiful, staff inviting, and the gardens and deck areas exquisite. Dinner at their restaurant was beyond excellent-food and wait staff. Lastly the amazing breakfast-they had a full service staff and a chef, most places give you a few pastries and fruit. We would recommend this experience to anyone wanting relaxation and beauty-best way to get there is by the Fast Ferry!!!!!!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 31 2008 Beauty and The Beast. One first notices the over the top appointments, which clashes with one of the owners poor disposition.I found the service to be the poorest I have experienced in any hotel situation.we rented the pent house apartment which was a nice design however it had dirty black rugs/ and make shift wireing ducked taped on top of it. Best thing about this guest house is the spa. A very uptight staff. This is not the place for the younger progressive crowd it would be well suited for seniors looking to relax.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 24 2008 Incredible luxurious value off season Went in mid-April. The rates are incredibly low. The service could not be better; professional, sweet staff in all areas. Room rates include use of spa soaking tub and sauna with all the accoutrements (salt rub, cucumber slices, robes, spa shoes,etc.). The breakfast is sumptous. No ocean views, but everything can be reached on foot easily. The room was beautifully appointed, no detail was left out, including chocolate on the pillow and perfect bedding. I LOVE this place!!!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 22 2008 Nice polular place. Ask for a room on the second floor facing the monument, a great view. It has pool, wine tasting and yacuzzis free of use for guests
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 26 2007 Had a great experience We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food was wonderful and our compliments to the Chef Amy. It was great to be able to go to breakfast without waiting in line or having large crowds as found in other breakfast locations in town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. However, would have liked a bigger room for $300 per night. Withing walking distance to Commercial Street but the hill back is a killer!
Reviewed by: Elizabeth from on Jul 21 2007 Stunning! Great place to get away. Beautiful place, beautiful people. Helpful, personable and spotless. We went on our first anniversary and it couldn't have been more perfect. We stopped in, without reservations and were greeted quickly, shown the only room still available, and booked it within minutes. When we go back, we will stay here - without a doubt!
Reviewed by: Heather from on Jul 10 2007 A bit mixed We had very high hopes of this place but were a bit disappointed. Our room was gloomy even when it was brilliant sunshine outside and we needed lights on all the time. It was also pretty small for the high price we were paying. The bathroom was tiny, the whirlpool bath was only big enough for one person and there was virtually no shelf space. On the positive side the king sized bed was extremely comfy, the air conditioning and fan worked a treat and everything was very clean and tidy. In the really hot weather the small room fridge was a real bonus. Food at breakfast was very nice but monotonous after several days with virtually the same food every day. The pool, though small, was very pleasant and the gardens were pretty. The complimentary services (wine and cheese, afternoon cakes) were a nice touch. Staff were perfectly courteous but a tad remote. Overall, however, after some initial disappointment, we came to like the hotel and had a very nice time there - and P'town itself is just great! We'd recommend it to anyone for a holiday.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 05 2006 Avoid Crowne Pointe Inn We made these reservations with high hopes but were very disappointed by the poor service attitudes of the staff. They are surly and impolite. Paper thin walls make your room very loud throughout the night. The food was a let down and the spa services were expensive and mediocre. Stay away!!
