Perfect Hotel / Perfect Place
The hotel was amazing. The food was great and the town is wonderful. We can't wait to go back. It is a far cry from Memphis. The staff was wonderful and the senery is the best in the world.

beautiful to see, stay somewhere else
our room was small, not updated ran out of soap, went to the spa an advertised package(the revitalizer) booked for 275,00, ended up 332.00 for 90 minutes. I have paid far less for a lot better experience. My therapist was late, and then did a very average job. for the money, it was not worth it! The golf however was enjoyable and a beautiful experience. Bar service was excellent, drinks pricey 18.00 for premium martini

You have not been to Banff if you have not stayed here and also taken the Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mt.

Why was everything we wanted to do closed?
My husband and I stayed here for one night. We found it disappointing because the restaurant we had wanted to eat at was closed that evening for some unknown reason. It was either walk out of doors to a german restaurant which we were not sure if it was opened at this time of year) or go and eat in the lounge. So we ate in the lounge where the service was so so. It was a 45 minute wait for a couple of burgers, but the server was always stopping by to check on our drinks! After eating we went to pay, but our server had disappeared and it took about 15 minutes for another server to locate her. We then decided to go for a swim before we called it a night (in the outdoor pool). After being in this pool for 20 minutes or so, we were chased out of there, along with seven other swimmers, because supposely this pool was closed for maintenance (door to outside was not locked nor was anything posted on the door). On a positive note, our room was clean and upon check in, we had been upgraded. Would we stay here again? Probably not.

Quality service in the mountains!
I stayed at the Banff springs for a conference last month, from the check in to check out the service was fantastic. The hotel staff are all polite and well mannered and the list of services offered was huge. During my stay I took some time out to visit the willow stream spa - this was also fantastic.

A nice place to see staff treated like crap!
My last impression of the Banff Springs: I was dining at the Bow Valley Grill, mediocre dinner at best but nice service. As a waitress approached another table next to ours, a floor manager or someone in a higher position came to her at the table with guests and had a few "upsetting words for her". This guy seemed to have no idea... at all. As I saw it the girl quit or left very upset. Why would you even think to do this in front of hotel guests, I am here for a holiday, not to see anything like this. What a true disappointment. If this needs to be done, I am sure there would be an office, back room, service room, somewhere in any other place than in the middle of a restaurant.

expensive and dissapointing
from a distance the hotel looks spectacular. inside the walls look spectacular - when you touch them you realize most of it is fake. the solarium has fake plants :-). The room we got was worse than a roadside motel room. Restaurants are uninspiring and very expensive and require reservations a day in advance. nothing (parking/fitness centre/pool access) is included in the price.

Stay AWAY!!
Terrible Terrible rooms, very disappointing for what they charge... TV was broken, mini-bar empty, carpets dirty and line ups to get anywhere. You'll need to pay for your own parking, no complimentary breakfast or pretty much complimentary anything... for the price they charge i was expecting to be treated like a king...
