Great Outdoor Fun Activity
Went to Billie Swamp Safari while on spring break. Had a great time. Absolutely loved the airboat ride. Saw gators, lots of birds, and more racoons than I've ever seen. Our tour guide JR was fun. Also did the Billie Swamp buggy ride. In a drought so, it was all on dry land. Still have a great time seeing all the animals. The snake show was awesome. The

Don't Miss this adventure!!
We (our family, ranging from 7 to 67 years old) took both the airboat and the Swamp buggy Eco-Tour and were thoroughly impressed by both. The enthusiasm of the tour guides was outdone only by the sheer amount of wildlife that we had the opportunity to encounter. Please DO NOT miss this incredible adventure if you're visiting Southern Florida - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

Not to be missed!!
We went on both the airboat and the swamp buggy. Our guides were amazing. They were friendly and held a vast knowledge on both Florida history and the plants and animals we encountered. The first time I went with a friend. This time I brought everybody and we had a blast. I highly recommend it to everyone!!!

Going Again In 2008
All four of us adults thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Billie Swamp Safari in 2006 so much, that we are returning again in 2008. This time with a couple extra friends. They have seen our photos and can not wait. In 2006, we only took the Swamp Buggie tour due to time restraints. This year we are going for the full day experience. We can not wait. I highly recommend this park for both young and old.

Unexpected Great Time
I am sooooooooo glad we went to Billie's Swamp Safari. It was just great seeing a snake show, having a buggy ride and the boat ride. I was vacationing in FL from CA and someone told us about this place. I had always wanted to go on the boat ride but was happily surprised to find also the buggy ride and snake show. I heard other places just have the boat ride which is what I had expected. The prices were very very reasonable. I am picky and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I actually have a friend going there next month and she is going to go there because of what I told her.

I left my heart at Billie Swamp
BRING BUG REPELLANT AND SUN SCREEN (flashlight too for overnight)!!! My daughter and I took a "road trip" down thru Orlando to the Keys, up through the everglades and back around to Gainesville to celebrate her graduation. We stayed overnight in one of the chickee huts in August 2006. We arrived late afternoon, checked in at the gift shop and got information. We had a wonderful dinner in the Swamp Water Cafe. We enjoyed strolling around the grounds and then played scrabble(we brought it) on the back porch of our chickee while we watched a distant thunderstorm and watched a magnificent sunset and enjoyed the view out across the swamp. As it was off season, we were the only ones there other than a caretaker after they shut down at 5:30 p.m. When the sun went down the bugs came out so we went inside, read, visted and slept really well on the cots. We did hear many curious splashings throughout the night in the swamp right behind us but were not bothered by any "visitors" to our cabin or along the road. The next morning we enjoyed watching a huge gator gliding by in the swamp before we went to the center for showers and a great breakfast. We thouroughly enjoyed the airboat ride although it would have been nice if it could have been a few hours long. The swamp buggy ride was fascinating. Our guide filled us in on many of the plants and their uses, cultural history of the seminoles and so much more. We topped the afternoon off with the reptile and animal shows. Again, both highly informative with opportunities to see some critters close-up afterward. We purchased a few treasures in the gift shop and with great reluctance bid goodbye. The prices were reasonable (including our meals), the staff was helpful, kind, welcoming, informative and lots of fun. This is one place I hope to return to for an even longer stay at least once before I die.
