Would not recommend
While away on an overnight trip to Chatham we decided to dine at the Impudent Oyster. What a mistake. When we entered the restaurant we were made to feel as though we had made some sort of imposition on the hostess when we did not have reservations, but there were plenty of available tables as we were seated immediately. As we like to start a special occasion we ordered a glass of wine and were told, never mind it’s to expensive, I was outraged. We ordered our dinner and found them to be average at best for what the final bill turned out to be. The staffing at the Impudent Oyster is crass and unfriendly. As a tourist town on the Cape I thought the business would be a lot more friendly since it did not seem like a there was much going on especially so early in the vacationing season

A pearl of an oyster on the Cape
3 nights in Chatham and dinner at the Impudent Oyster twice says it all.The excellent bar setup with its professional staff makes you want to forgo your booked table and eat from the bar stool. The overview misses the restuarants main stregnth and that is sea food as you would expext on Cape Cod.Try the Swordfish, its exceptional. The service is fast and efficient to us Europeans.Booking is essential in season. Remember they eat early on the Cape.I'm not sure anyone is awake in Chatham at the claimed closing time of 12.45am.A true find for those who like the relaxed eating of beter food.
