Guido's restaurant is so inconspicuous, tucked in next to Big Alice's ice cream on the East Side's lower Hope Street, that you might easily miss it. With its low lighting and celebrity photos on the wall, the atmosphere is intimate and the simple and freshly prepared Italian food is very good. Best to get there early to increase the chance you will get a seat in the cozy but small dining area. Weekend nights are especially popular. Patrons often cluster around the front door waiting for a table.
