Back to Jay Lively Activity Center Club Hocky Excellence I do not ice skate but attended my first college club hocky game!!!Went back for the second time!!! Excellent experience and will go again and again. The facilities are not for spectators viewing but it was a great experience with the college students surrounding the plexiglas wall stomping, make noise, hitting, and otherwise supporting the home team!!! The facilities are well used and support many different ice activities. People are very friendly. Great to have such a facility within the Flagstaff area. Even got to see my California home town club hockey team (University of Santa Clara) play an excellent NAU team. I think I am a University Club Hockey fan.
Reviewed by: shoguneagle from on Oct 26 2008 It's My Life I go ice skating there every weekend when it's open. I have so much fun there, because most of my friends love ice skating too. The only negative part is sometimes it gets uber crowded, but that's always on Friday. And if you rent skates, most of them are in really bad shape, except for like, 5% of them. But that's why I got my own. :D
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 11 2008 Not too bad! Jay Lively is a rink that I could skate in regularly for a few reasons. I grew up in ice rinks that maybe had one or two video games for down time between games and such. Lively is like that, not an arcade with ice somewhere in the background.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 12 2007 Ice skating What I liked about the Rink was that usually there was plenty of room to skate around, I really really enjoy going there. The bad thing about it is the skates that we had to rent were so worn down from the sharpening that we couldn't REALLY skate. We got hurt a lot from falling on the ice so much becuase the picks were so low that they caught. No biggie though, we bought our own skates and are gonna be coming very soon.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 11 2007 Cooler than Phoenix! Jay Lively Arena is a great place to cool off and enjoy some quality ice time. Being from Prescott, I chose to skate here when Tim's Activity Center melted the ice for the summer. Phoenix is just too hot, and being the same distance for me, Flagstaff is just a no-brainer. Ice condition is hardest in AZ.
