Sadly disappointing
The setting is romantic and atmospheric. The service was off-hand. The food nowhere near value for money and although just about acceptable, was a real disappointment. The vegetables with either over-salted on not salted at all and overcooked! My wife's expensive fish platter was a great dollop of food on a plate. The prawns were chewy and very unexceptional. My lamb was pleasant - but the red wine served by the glass actually hot to touch. This "problem" was never solved and seemed a source of bewildered amusement to both the waiter and the manager.

Amazing Food and Atmosphere
This restaurant was recommended to us by several of the local Greek citizens we asked - as well as by our tour director. It was an easy walk from the Athens Plaza Hotel where we were staying.

just bad
This place has so far been the only black spot on the map of all greek restaurants and tavernas where I have eaten in the past few years. The service was just unbelievable - arrogant, slow, incompetent, inadequate, rude and unhelpful; food was overpriced poorly prepared and badly served; ambiance was pretentious (although pretty), cold and uninviting, and I couldn't help regretting all through the painstaking dinner that I had chosen this place for my last dinner in Athens...

Made our Athens trip worthwhile
Don't miss it. Excellent service! Excellent food! Try the lamb fricasee. Price is not that expensive compared to decent restaurants in the USA. This is the highlight of our trip to Athens. The Acropolis is second.

Watch out
We picked this restaurant because it was rated top pick by celebrities. Do not fall into that trap. They will give those celebrities top service. They had trouble understanding English and the service was painstakingly slow. It took us 2.5 hours to have dinner. When there are shops waiting plus having waited until 8:30 for dinner I would like service. Everything we ordered took forever to come. As far as food goes the salmon was delicious - forget the sea bass. The desserts which were touted as being homemade were rather bland. It really was unfortunate when there are so many wonderful looking restaurants available that would have sufficed and probably been far better.

Delicious
The food was perfectly prepared and very tasty, the service was excellent and the ambience lovely. Limited entree selection and some dishes were quite expensive but not all and in the end well worth a few extra euros!!
