Back to Bamburgh Castle Great Location, Cool Atmosphere, Ecclectic Collections This castle is situated on a beach overlooking the North Sea. Views of the beach and sea are wonderful, and from a distance, you wonder why it doesn't just sink into the sand! Why not - it's built on volcanic rock - that's why.

Over looking the North Sea, with sandunes, fishing boats, and 99% of the time, rolling waves. The castle is fully restored with art work, armor, and a dungion with a mock prisnor, and rat. Nice tea room for a snack or sit down. Located on the coast, which makes the drive fantastic. You can see the Castle in under an hour, but to fully appreciate plan to spend atleast 3 hours if not more. There is also a fighter plane musium on grouds, as one of the family members who owns (owned) the castle had it put together for himself. Make sure to let the Kids run down to the beach to run and jump around the Dunes. Watch the water though very cold with jellyfish.
