Back to Holiday Inn Austin Town Lake Good hotel. Just what I expected. Great location, right near everything in Downtown. Clean hotel. Good ammenities. Free wi-fi. Good value!
Reviewed by: Brent Carlson from on Feb 23 2009 AWESOME PLACE The staff were professional! The rental desk was a nice suprise with the Segway rides, kayaks for Lady Bird Lake and bicycle rentals. I did it all on my 3 day stay and look forward to doing it again in a few more months.
Reviewed by: wiccangypsygurl from on Jun 05 2008 Unfriendly I have stayed here before and thought I would stay again but after trying to cancel a reservation because I cancelled my trip, I have had a very tough time with them. It seems that just because you make a reservation online with a special rate, gives them the authority to say "no, we are not going to refund your money even though you aren't going to use the room. Instead, go find someone to take the room and then they can pay you for the room," It is ridiculous. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again!
Reviewed by: Jerry B from on May 05 2008 Don't enter the bar area The staff is very rude an unacceptable of people's backgrounds.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 29 2007 Watch out Everything was great until we got to the room. The mattress on the bed, the second you lightly sit on it, you can feel every part of the spring. It woke myself and friend throughout the night due to discomfort.
Reviewed by: Beatrix from on Apr 06 2006 overpriced old & uncomfortable Service was fair at best. The Food was fair and service in the restaurant was slow and my rate for securing a room was not honored upon arrival. I had to complain to 1 800 Holiday. THe bed linens were poor quality and it was difficult to sleep next to the busy highway. Oh and the water from the Tap is gross. Bring Bottled water!! Oh that wonderful pool upstairs was closed for renovations. I suspect it will be for your stay as well. The whole hotel badly needs renovation. You can see the interior is aged significantly.
Reviewed by: activenaturefan from on Nov 14 2005 Runner's Paradise Love the location on Town Lake. There are miles of paths for jogging by the lake, under bridges, over bridges, softly undulating for a good work out. If you get bored with running, you can rent boats or Kyaks and go boating on the week ends. While you're at it you can watch crews rowing, other boats, ducks, geese, and believe it or not, bats.

My group was warned once to keep the noise down or they would kick us out for disturbing others. I think thats a sign of good management.
