A recent addition to the impressive array of south Manchester contemporary restaurants, Palmiro specialises in top quality, organic Tuscan and traditional, rustic Italian cuisine with a modern twist. The decor, dirty magnolia stucco walls and red panelling with subdued lighting, is as subtle and refined as the food itself. The menu, which changes monthly, is small but offers rare balance with combinations such as chargrilled calamari, rocket and salsa rossa starter, monkfish with new potatoes, black olives and pancetta as a main course.
