Extreme Wine Tasting
Bordeaux's wine festival takes place every other June. The surrounding village vineyards hold wine-related shows, parades, concerts and a dance all along the quays, inviting visitors to sample and celebrate the region's vintage. To enjoy it to the fullest, buy a pass-dégustation (tasting pass) which includes a glass and a swipe card giving you access to all the festival areas. Passes are available at the tourist office several days in advance, or you can get one at the festival. The festival takes place along the Garonne River, stretching from the Pont de Pierre to the Bourse Maritime.
