Back to Ocean Club Beach Resort a rip the decor, though ultra modern is a little like being in a haunted house. the worst is being charged for everything ridiculous prices. a glass of wine and a couple appetizers were 90.00 and not even that good the "mandatory" valet parking for $25.00 per night with an empty lot and the car parked 10 feet from the main entrance, was ridiculous but the worst was being given a bottle of water as we were leaving and then finding the bottle that was offered/put in our face was $6.50 per bottle. We have never felt so ripped off, surely the truely rich would'nt tolerate such excessive charges and poor service!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 08 2009 LOVED IT.... We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 12 years and the changes were suttle and we loved it..We were kind of disapointed they were going to renovate it. We loved Flip Flops and the staff was very friendly. Like everyone I did not like having to pay the 18.00 to park with the pricing of rooms, food and drinks being so high..We always enjoyed the comfort and relaxing times and it was close to downtown and we could go to little bars and shops for a $5 cab ride or pay a little more to do City Place or Worth Ave...We will go back one more time at least to stay and see the renovations. If we like it we will go back. I hope they send out some type of notice so we know when the renovations are finished...
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 14 2007 JUST NICE Well if your expecting a all inclusive type resort it is not. The service I found very good. They were very attentive. The valet parking is included in some rooms. If not it is around 18 dollars a day. The restaurant left something to be desired. Getting lunch was definately a wait. The beach if right there which is the selling point of the hotel. The chairs to rent are outragously priced. If you do it by the week you get a better deal if you stay that long. The TV's in the room are just terrible. OLD! It was just a nice hotel. Not a 4 or 5 star hotel that is for sure. They were working on rooms while we were there and you could hear the banging and working going on. Would possibly stay again. Charlies Crab house on A1A is a very nice place to eat. You will want to get a reservation they are packed all the time.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 28 2006 Great Experience My mother and I had a great experience at this hotel. We enjoyed our time at the hotel and the service, food, and staff was fabulous. My mother works in the hotel industry and was very pleased with the hotel. Of course the rooms have small things such as moistness, but you have to consider you are right on the beach in hurrican alley. We attended a wedding at the hotel that was also great. From the wedding coordinator to the serving staff it was excellent. The OC Beach Resort was a wodnerful experience for myself and those who were involved in the wedding.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 28 2005 I will never return to this hotel The location of this hotel was good; directly on the ocean, close to Worth Ave, and convenient to the highways. The hotel itself, however, left a lot to be desired.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 05 2005 What a great place to relax! Those who say that West Palm Beach is only for the retirees are wrong! If you're looking for a laid back, casual atmosphere with plenty of relaxing activities, the Hilton Palm Beach Oceanfront Resort is the place to be! With the great beach and water activities-private cabanas with cold drinks and cold towels delivered right to you and snorkeling on the man-made reef-I never wanted to leave. The hotel restuarant was wonderful and the staff was superb! I accidentally left my cell phone there and they were nice enough to search for it and ship it back home to me. The location was also convenient to an outdoor art festival and several other quaint restaurants. All-in-all, this is one of my favorite places to stay when I need some R & R!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 23 2005 RENOVATE ROOMS and hotel The hotel has a great location on the beach, that however is the only thing the hotel has going for it. The staff was not helpful and the rooms seemed like they came from a old run down red roof in or some other kind of cheap motel. The grout in the bathroom was dirty and the rooms smelled. Not just one room, I was moved and both rooms smelled. It oculd be a nice hotel if they spent some money and cleaned up the place.
