Named for a ship owner who built the house for his family, the Jared Coffin House is an elegant inn with a distinctly New England flavor. When you walk into the place, you get the impression that you have been invited into someone's home. Its mix of old-fashioned decor and modern conveniences (air conditioning, private bath) makes for an excellent hotel experience, as does the presence of the hotel's fine on-site restaurants.
