This casual dockside restaurant claims to be where the elite eat in their bare feet and it is likely that patrons will also eat with their bare hands. Low Country Boil of shrimp, corn, potatoes, and smoked sausage is a local tradition. Oysters are offered steamed or raw. The Capt'n Crabs Sampler Platter is piled high with seasonal shellfish. Outdoor seating on the patio and indoor dining on a huge screened porch provides a pleasant view of Chimney Creek. Both areas are armed with fans to keep you cool.

shanty chic seafood
our first impression (in the wintertime) was that we were entering a Boy Scout Camp. From the parking lot we saw campfires in barrels placed around. I think there was an outdoor dining room under a tent that night. Hostesses greeted us in the parking lot and were cheerful in guiding us to the "indoor" dining area. Seafood and Kosher Franks. Curtains on ladies room stalls. Food disposal barrels in center of tables. Stray cat here and there. Ambiance - yes, definitely. What sort - not sure. Just kind of fun.
