Reviewed by: CautiousKasia from on Oct 24 2009 You will get a real workout! This is a must see. Take the 178 step hike to the top and see the island from there. Wow! If you are allergic to wasps, ask how the activity is at in the lighthouse. They tend to be up there. We only saw one.
Reviewed by: Sally P from on Jul 19 2009 Tybee Island Lighthouse I love Tybee Island because of the people there. Everyone is so friendly and willing to make your stay pleasant. They will even put you up if need be. The Tybee Lighthouse gives you a beautiful view of the island. On a clear day you can even see Hilton Head, South Carolina. Now for the bad part of the Lighthouse. You must be in pretty good shape to climb to the top. Take it slowly. Also if you don't like heights then you can always stay on the ground and visit their Lighthouse store and do some shopping.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 22 2007 Breathtaking view I would have loved to see sunset or sunrise from the top! It took me awhile to get up the steps but it was worth it. The battery museum across the street was interesting as well. Our guide for the lighthouse was very informative and told about ships that come into the Savannah harbor and even pointed out the general direction of the homes of a couple of stars who enjoy Tybee Island. It was a great scout experience.

Reviewed by: RogerS from on Aug 24 2006 REally Beautiful!!!!!! Well, I think that going to a lighthouse in Georgia was quite the experinice for me because i have always like seeing pictures of lighthouses in postcards and i got to see one with about 80 Girl scouts and they seemed to like it too. Once you got in and climbed all of the many stairs it was like you were in a movie about the sea that involved a lighthouse and there was a beautiful family going on a trip to see a light house in a different state that they had always wanted to visit. I loved being able to see the view once i got to the top of the lighthouse and believe me it was amazing. I would definetly reccomed it to others and bring a camera but don't take it in with you take the picture outside of the lighthouse and really capture the secenery.
Reviewed by: Lou Lou from on Jul 03 2006 The best sunset! While we didn't actually go into the lighthouse, we went to Tybee Beach directly in front of the lighthouse this Memorial Weekend and witnessed one of the most beautiful sunsets ever. Our kids played nearby in the warm surf and the other couples/families left, we arrived late on Sat. while the CROWD was heading back over the bridge to Savannah. It's one of the cleanest beaches I've ever visited and a
