Wonderful experience
This is one of the most beautiful opera houses in the world and we have had two wonderful experience there. The first was the last ballet that was performed in the theatre before the closing for restoration. The second was the fanstastic tour of the below ground facilities: rehearsal halls for ballet and orchestra, costume departments, scenery construction areas and much, much more. When the theatre opens after its restoration I would recommended highly for the excellent productions and the wonderful tour.

A spectacle!
This opera house is very memorable!! Fabulous acoustics, gorgeous art, a national treasure! We loved it so much we are going to return for the grand re-opening in May 2008 for the return of "Aida" which was presented at the original opening in 1908!

A Must-See
Make an effort to take in an event. I saw their Philharmonic Symphony - stunning, beautiful, worth my money and time. I would go to another concert if I were to visit again.

what a historic place.
Went to a opera. (Lombardi of the first crusade by Verdi) Buying tickets was easy. Staff was bi-lingual. Also take the tour. they have spanish/english tours. Very informative. Inside was awsome. Heard from our Argie friends that there is some renovation going on in the inside. so might want to check first before going.

Majestic!
The Colon theatre is one of the buildings we re most proud of. Not only is it vast and beautiful, but it represents our love for culture and our history. It's one of my favourite places in Bs As.

The highlight of our visit to Buenos Aires
So much to say. The architecture is spectacular, inside and out. We took a tour and very much enjoyed seeing the building. I believe the interior is closed for most of 2006 for restoration, so it should be even better.
