Lime is one of the more recent additions to the eating and clubbing scene in central Manchester, offering a trendy bar, cosy restaurant and a downstairs clubbing space. The green theme is obvious in the interior decor with lime walls counterpointed by pine green and light wood panelling, while downstairs (in the wittily titled Sublime Club) the colours go a more subterranean blue and purple. The 44-seat eating area is intimate and well-proportioned, offering contemporary European cuisine like ham and chorizo hot pot as a main course for £10 and classic desserts such as creme brulee at around £4.50. If you want a drink, then the wine list is adequate with a few reasonable bottles available from around £10 upwards.
