Entered the Churchills on Bull street at about 3pm on a Sunday. March 2, 2008. We were promptly seated after which my wife and I became invisible to the wait staff. We determined what we wanted to eat and then we sat. There were about four to six members of the wait staff moving about, and we were unable to even establish eye contact. After waiting for about five additional minutes we walked out the door. The food that was on the tables around us looked good however.

After living in the Savannah area a couple of years and reading glowing reviews, we decided to give Churchill's a try. Either you people are getting paid to write these rave reviews or you have some seriously numb taste buds. The food at best was just OK. I tried the fish and chips and, honestly, Long John Silver's does it better. My daughters got the mushroom ravioli and the lobster ravioli, which were both served at room temperature, making them seem rather gross. My husaband's shrimp and scallop saute was the best, although still a little bland. Beer selection was not as extensive as expected, but service and atmosphere was good. In summary, there are better places to eat in Savannah and you glowing reviewers need to get out more.

Great place to go to unwind, or to meet people. good food. great scotch. you will not be disappointed

If you love pub life, you will greatly enjoy Churchill's. Great food and even better beer. Combined with the great atmosphere, they have created a wonderful pub.
