Keep away from The Bar if you want service
I am still absolutely seething about this so if there is too much detail please just skip to the last 1/3 of this review. I am a Rezidor SAS Gold Elite member so it made sense that after an appointment in Galway I should call to the Radisson SAS for something to eat in the bar at 4PM. After all I knew what to expect, my previous experiences in Cork and Limerick had been OK and Dublin, Letterkenny and Birmingham (UK) were excellent. How wrong can you be!!! Firstly I ordered a "blue" rib eye steak at €26.50 and a glass of red wine, I was offered Sauvignon or Chardonnay both white wine grapes (I know there are some red sauvignons but none sold by the glass) anyway this is only a technicality so I confirmed I wanted a glass of the house red wine, I was asked again about how I wanted my steak cooked and I confirmed “Blue”. Now comes the interesting bit, the drinks were fine and the food arrived after an acceptable wait but the steak was cooked “medium to well done” not even pink. As the waitress had disappeared, I decided to eat it and maybe mention this later. Once both myself and my daughter had finished we decided to have desert and coffee, at least that is what we wanted, but the waitress had other more pressing commitments, she spent the next 30 minutes disappearing and re-appearing briefly to clear tables, we did try to catch her attention and even took a menu from another table and left it very prominently on our own table after checking it out very obviously, all the time trying to catch the waitresse's eye, after 30 minutes we realised she was doing her best to avoid acknowledging us so we tried calling out “excuse me” on two occasions to no avail, after over 40mns trying to get her attention we gave up and went to the reception desk to pay, I also complained and did get an apology from the person on the desk who then proceeded to get us our invoice and take our money so we could leave. So in summary if you liked the service in other Radisson hotels or the food, don’t expect the same to apply in Galway, if it is service you want in Galway then pick any pub or 2 star hotel it’s bound to be a hundred times better than the Radisson. (by the way I worked summers in the hotel industry years ago whilst in College and I know when someone is purposely ignoring me, and no I don’t make a habit of complaining, and this is my first time writing a negative review or any review).

An Amazing hotel in Galway
The hotel had a great Spa where you leave feeling totally relaxed and destressed. The food is very good in the restaurant as are the staff. Stayed on their executive floor level 5 which is amazing.
