The Castillo de Chapultepec was used as the official presidential residence until 1944, when it became the National History Museum. The 20 halls in the two-story building showcase the most relevant political and social changes Mexico has undergone throughout its history. Some of the halls have murals depicting the nation's major historical evolution, painted by such talented Mexican artists such as Eduardo Solares, Juan O'Gorman, David Alfaro Siqueiros and Jorge Gonzalez Camarena. Classical music concerts, temporary exhibitions and other events are frequently scheduled. There is a café and library.NYC Best Hotel Deals: 50% Savings In New York!
