Back to Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi A wonderful Thai experience! We loved our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It was a beautiful property that was about 60 acres large. We reserved a Grand Villa with a plunge pool which was very nice. We arrived in Chiang Mai at night and there were about 3 staff member from the hotel waiting there to greet us and help us get our luggage into the hotel limo. They gave us cold water bottles and cold towels on our arrival. As soon as we arrived at the resort they gave us refreshments as they checked us in. Our villa was beautiful. The only complaint was the amount of mesquitos in the room. I loved the organic breakfast brunch they had in the morning. There Thai restaurant was a must to anyone staying Chiang Mai. THERE SPA WAS AMAZING!!!!!!! I will return someday!

Everything is average, nothing outstanding, you might get better accomdation paying similar charge elsewhere in Chiang Mai.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 16 2006 Not for the price! Nice enough resort, but this is no Four Seasons or Banyan Tree! The staff was helpful, the architecture exotic, the lanscaping lush... just like any other luxury resort in the region. Nothing was particularly memorable or outstanding. In fact, many of "the little things" were overlooked. Of course, it's still a luxury resort and everything is better-than-average. But for the price, there are many better resorts. They are just missing that "extra" that makes a Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons.
