The Grand Dame of Singapore
Parents, you would not want to miss this holiday treat for two-year-olds up to pre-teens. Mirth, fun and thrills abound for everyone in the form of groovy music, amusing theater and expressive dances. In its inaugural year, this festival attracted 10,000 people. The organizers hope that this number can be increased to 25,000. Many performances ranging from drama and dance to musical theater and traditional puppetry will be staged by different theatre companies hailing from Korea, Norway, Canada and the United States. See website for complete yearly particulars. Other venues besides the Asian Civilisations Museum's Ngee Ann Auditorium include the Arts House, Victoria Theatre, National Library and Raffles Hotel.
