I did not pay it was so bad
I heard this place was great. my steak was 60% fat and grizzel. The rest of it could not be cut or chewed. Worst thing is that I ordered the most expensive steak they had. I complained right away and asked for my bill. The few bites I had were tough. I will not go there again. If you like pigens flying you than this may be the place for you.

Not worth the trouble
This place is more overrated than Notre Dame football. While I admit the food is good, it is way overpriced for what you get compared to other steakhouses in BA. Went here last week and spent over $400 pesos for 2 people. Ambiance is pretty cool but only go here if you want to tell your friends you went here.

Totally overrated
This place is supposedly one of the best steak houeses of Buenos Aires, and the best one of trendy Puerto Madero... or so it used to be. All the tourist guides and review sites recommended this place, and it seems it was good arround 2005... but now it can't keep up to it fame.

It's a rip-off
Very expensive for Buenos Aires. The food was good as was the service. Ambience is also good as you sit next to the water. They bring appetisers which you think are free but are charged for at the end. I would not go back there, the place is a tourist trap, there are much better places for less money,

Worst place ever
Very simple. Food mediocre (believe the hype at your risk -- I've had better steaks at Sizzler). Service almost non-existent. Food is dumped on your table and your server is gone. Reservations are not kept. The tables are not adequately large. Prices are very high (the cover is now 10 dollars per person (for our party of 5, that was 50 bucks that alone would have paid for an entire meal elsewhere) -- and speaking of elsewhere, we would have been much better off there.

We'll never go back DO NOT GO HERE
We've previously eaten at Las Lilas and enjoyed it. Success, however, has given the restaurant owner the opportunity to coast. This is now a place to avoid unless you are prepared for indifferent-to-bad service and cheap tricks that cost a lot. We would now label it a tourist trap.

Shame on you Cabana Las Lilas – wake up or close down!
We booked a table at Cabana Las Lilas last Saturday evening 6/10/07, when I arrived they could not locate my booking so gave us a table in the smoking area outside at the side. It was freezing and the standard of service was bored and boring.

a tourist trap
probably the worst and most expensive "parrilla" in Buenos Aires. My 25 required words are: avoid Las Lilas, avoid Las Lilas, avoid Las Lilas, avoid Las Lilas!

Great food, poor service
We recently ate in Cabana Las Lilas, and while I have to agree that the steak was mouth-watering the wines, spectacular, I have to say that we found the service to be seriously lacking. We had to ask for a wine list, we had to ask for a menu and we had to practically had to flag down the waiter to get order. And we had to ask to have dished removed so they could bring our meals, and in the end, we had to ask to have empty plates removed. Perhaps this was an unusual evening, but after we had reserved long in advance and had anticipated a great evening, I have to say that we were very disappointed.

I don't get the great reviews
We did not make reservations and understood that we would have to wait awhile. We were in no hurry so we simply had drinks at the bar while waiting for our table. The drinks were good ... and I wish now that we had not waited for a table. We both ordered the baby beef thinking it might be veal ... wrong. The steak was way overcooked and certainly the words tender never came to my mind. If you like "chew" this is the place to go. Everything in this restaurant is a separte charge. An appetizer tray is placed on your table without asking and charged to your bill per person. In fact, there is a charge for sitting at the table. (I know some of you are thinking that I am crazy but it is the truth.) Veggies are also a separate charge (nothing comes with your steak) and we ordered the souffle potatoes as one of the sides. Those had been sitting someplace as they arrived luke warm at best. We requested catsup ... twice. I hate to give this restaurant any credit but the mushroom side was absolutely out of this world. This was our most expensive meal in Buenos Aires and the only one in which we were unhappy. So many wonderful restaurants and we ended up in this tourist trap.
