Essaraya is located in the medina, not far from the Bab Menara Boulevard, south of the Kasbah neighborhood, in a street parallel to the street of the Souk Sekkajine. This chic restaurant benefited from renovation: it offers a colonnaded patio, colored ceramic tiles and fine-cut stucco walls. It serves traditional Tunisian cuisine: besides the classics such as the briqs, the couscous and some fish dishes, the menu includes: Beef Hoof and Spinach Stew, Beef Tongue Filled With Capers, and the Marka Hloua, a sweet and sour flavor course. A true flavor anthology, with impeccable service. There is also a souvenir shop and an air-conditioned multipurpose room for professional meetings for up to 35 people. No alcohol is served. N.L.
