We got Over Charged!!!
The resort is very beautiful. They only had one pool open which was the smaller one. The big nice pool was too cold to swim in due to them not heating it. The most of our stay was wonderful, until we checked out. They hold a credit card for incidentals, which is normal. We did have some Palm Cafe charges etc. They also charged us for a resort fee of $15 per day plus tax. I asked what it was for, and she said that it should have said that on the site when we booked our room. Little did she know I had it printed off and right there with them. Then the manager blamed it on the guy that checked us in that he should have made us aware of it. Nothing was ever said to us about the resort fees. They did end up taking them off, but we felt ripped off!!!

Nice Hotel
Very nice hotel, but my opinion is this hotel is very overrated. I stayed here with my nine year old and the best thing about it was the pool. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by Fred who was very pleasant. Upon checking in I was informed they wanted 100.00 a day for everyday I was staying there for incidental chg's either in cash or on a credit card or they would not check me and my son in. 700.00 I thought that was outragous. Pool kid friendly hotel itself not so much. Not much for eating options, pool bar closes early. I would not return. Try Disney's Carribbean Beach Resort awesome place.

Above average with reservations
Outside of some clothes being taken at the pool area and the lack of follow up by security this is a top notch place to stay. It would have gotten 5 stars without that bad incident. The rooms are clean and unique and their is a sense of being in a private enclave with the 1500 acres surrounding this resort.

Would definitely return!
Traveled there June 17-25, 2008. Every employee we dealt with was fantastic and helpful. The hotel is as close to Walt Disney World as possible without actually being on Disney property. Convenient free shuttle to area attractions was awesome. The restaurants were good, but quite expensive. Lots of off-site restaurants within walking distance. It would have been nice to have two queen-size beds instead of two full-size beds with four people, but we managed. So many of the other hotels in the area play-up the Disney connection while the Hyatt doesn't. It's nice to get a break from all things Disney when returning to your hotel! The pool was awesome! It's big, filled with salt water instead of chlorinated water, and has 2 waterslides. Bicycles, rowboats, and other water toys are available for guests to use in the lake and are included with your room. Loved it there!

A Must Stay!!
When visiting the Orlando area, this hotel is a must stay. The staff is friendly, the hotel is clean, and the grounds are beautiful. There is something here for everyone. Even better, the pool is open 24 hours. Lots of activities for the entire family.

not worth the price
the location was great, they offer many amenities, and the staff was friendly. but, the hall ways looked like they had never been vacuumed, we booked a king room and got 2 double beds, the wall paper is from the 1980's, and you have to pay for everything. we had reservations for 2 nights and canceled the next night as soon as we saw our room. it's very deceiving. the lobby looks great, but when you walk into the room, it's like walking into 1983. I think if I'm paying $360 a night for room + $15 a day for amenities, I should not have to pay $4.95 for a bottle of Aquafina, or internet. If I wrote everything I disliked, it would take 5 minutes. There are so many hotels to choose from, that cost less, and are so much nicer. My suggestion is to really look into all of the hotels before you pick.

Lots to do
There are 2 pools and one is heated. They also have slides but they were blocked off when I went. There is also a huge lake where you can do many things. The only thing I did not like was they did not have a shuttle that went to Downtown Disney or Universal or Seaworld. Also the shuttle price from the airport was a lot of money I thought. Other than that it is a beautiful place. Kids would love it.

Wonderful Honeymoon!!!
We actually stayed at the villas for our honeymoon, but we used the hotel amenities. It was so great we are planning to come back every year. The pool is one of the best we have ever seen!
