Blue Dog Exhibit Fantastic
Went to the Museum last weekend for the first time since Hurricane Katrina. It is beautiful. I am a Blue Dog fan and the George Rodriquez' Blue Dog exhibit is fantastic. The exhibit includes work before the Blue Dog emerged as well as recent work. They say they have about 200 pieces of his work on exhibit. The exhibit is only there until June 8, 2008 so be sure and go see it. Also plan on spending some time in the Sculpture Garden which is outside the Museum.

Always something new...
My favorite thing to see here is when they hold Japan Fest as the price for admission is cheaper and there's additional events/artwork available to view.

Amazing Musuem
One of America's finest small museums. The Femme show was incredible. Recent additions have made the grounds even more lovely -- the new crepe myrtles are so beautiful.

More than the FQ
I feel sorry for the people that go to NO just for the FQ. NO is so much more and the Art Museum is a good place to start your adventure in the city

Great place to visit
I am a fan of art- particularly paintings (impressionism, etc.) and I enjoyed the variety of artists with their varying styles. I could have spent all day there were it not for my husband who is not all that "artistically cultured."

Oh, my!!
Be prepared to spend some time. The museum proper is small but the sculpture gardens seem to go on forever and are wonderful to wander through.
