Old Traditions in New Pots: Silver Seed Pots from the Norman L. Sandfield Collection
Nov 17th, 2008 to Dec 31st, 2009
A collection of more than 240 silver seed pots, the Old Traditions in New Pots: Silver Seed Pots from the Norman L. Sandfield Collection at the Heard Museum is a beauty to look at. The exhibits, which are originally pottery items, have been since used for decorative and ornamental purposes by many all over. Rich, intricate art fused with traditional designs, the collection is a must for those who love to just browse by windows of jewelery stores and marvel at the wares within.

Mothers & Daughters: Stories in Clay
Jan 8th, 2009 to Jan 31st, 2010
Beginning this month, the Heard Museum will be showcasing spectacular pieces of works by mother-daughter duo's from Santa Clara Pueblo. All the artists including the extended members of the Naranjo family, will display works of pottery, clay and paintings done in clay. Running throughout the year, the exhibits go a lot more deeper than just the art and open up to the relationships that have gone into making them.
