Quiet, roomy
Close to second, your own little place of refuge amongst a generally well traffic'd street.

Historic charm at its best
We have visited at a number of inns in the area, but Shippen Way has to be one of the most charming. We stayed in the Stencil Room which had a working fireplace and shaker style four poster bed. From the low exposed beam ceiling to the tiny curved stairway that led to our cozy room, the Shippen Way gave us colonial style and romance at its best.

Great little B&B!
I have family in South Philadelphia and when we come into town we always make it a point to stay at the Shippen Way Inn. One of the most comfortable and quiet B&Bs I have ever stayed at, and it is charmingly historic. The breakfast is wonderful and the garden beautiful. I always look forward to returning.
