Back to Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa Horrid Dinning Experiance! The hotel was ok, not up to my usual standards, I'm used to trendy European resorts, so I wasn't surprised that it fell short in that respect. The real shock, however, was the food, a "buffet," (yuck, what is this, the early bird special at Denny's? I prefer my hotel experiance to be "sneeze guard" free, thank you!) for breakfast and for dinner a fish dish that made of friend of mine so sick she seriously thought about going to the E.R.. I believe this horrid dinning experiance is due to Matt Alleshouse, the smug chief, who operates more like a low level cook, (perhaps Denny's IS where he got his experiance.) I also have some worries about the overall cleaniness of the kitchen, health inspectors really should look into this place, seeing as how their spoiled seafood almost kill a friend of mine. If you want a postive experiance avoid the Biltmore, it's not worth getting sick over.

Reviewed by: STEVE J from on May 29 2009 Breakfast run around When we were at the Biltmore we wanted a light breakfast. We were told that the only breakfast available was the $35 per plate Sunday morning buffet. We explained that we really didn't want alot of food - just eggs or french toast - but were told there was nothing available except the buffet....so, reluctantly we took it (total for two was $71.00) As we were leaving we went outside and people were having eggs on the patio. When we asked them about it they said they were also told they would have to use the buffet, but they came out to the patio, saw menus and ordered! What's the deal here? Won't return to the Biltmore if this is their dishonest tactics to get people to eat their buffet breakfast. There were only a few people at the buffet despite their pleas. BUMMER!

Reviewed by: DeeDee from on Jan 12 2009 Great Resort With Minimal Children! I'll be the first to admit that it's fairly expensive and I've definitely been to other resorts that have nicer rooms, like at the Phoenician. However, what's great about this place is that it's not swimming in children's activities so I don't have to listen to children screaming all day while I'm trying to enjoy a quiet weekend. The spa is lovely and the golf course is also really nice.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 14 2008 More than I imagined! I just returned from the Biltmore Spa and Resort in Phoenix and what a wonderful stay! I couldn't get over how clean and inviting the hotel was. Everyone was wonderful and all the staff were so friendly. Each room was equiped with bathrobes, a 37 inch flat screen TV, balcony and separate seating area. I wanted for nothing while I was there. I would definitely recommend this to anyone staying out west and can't wait to reurn myself!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 29 2007 Not good for business traveler First of all, no coffee in the room. I work on my computer early in the morning and I need my coffee immediately.
Reviewed by: Susan from on Jun 14 2007 Won't go back again For the money you are paying you certainly do not get the value. The room is average compared to most high end resorts. The grounds and gardens were nice and I believe this is where they use most of their money. The room did not come with a coffee maker and when I called the front desk they advised it would be a $25 fee. Are you kidding me !! You spend $350 per night and the room does not come with a coffee pot. Their are many resorts that are much better than this for the money !!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 01 2007 Luxery At It Best This was my first time staying at the Biltmore because usually when I would visit Phoenix I would stay at my family's ranch. This time though I was in town on business and even though most of my co-workers resided at the hotel where we had our conference at my boss and I stayed here. Let me tell you i was blown away on how big & elegant this place was. First off you got Frank Lloyd Wright architecture everywhere you can possible look. Too many kids in the pool, not a problem because you can go use another one of their many pools. Fantastic views of the mountains. Great divine food in fabulous restaurants. A golf course that was so green & soft that I, a person who hates golf, played a round..okay it was 2. The spa was of course my favorite, anytime I can get pampered I say bring it on. They have great massage therapists and their Desert Stone massage is a must get. Also if you are staying here while on a family vacation no need to worry because the Biltmore has all types of family oriented events. I had no problems with my room and neither did my boss. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Both of our rooms were very nice and clean with picturesque views. As far as cost go things might tend to be on the pricey side but you totally get your money worth. The staff at the hotel was just great & articulate. They make sure THEY go outta THEIR way to make sure YOU are HAPPY! Now I don't know about most people, but where else can you find this sort of royalty treatment. I know nowhere else but here at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa. If you ever visit Phoenix, AZ please stay here, you will not regret it!!!
