Back to Vor Frue Kirke Cathedral of Copenhagen The Church of Lady is located next to Frue Plads and directly across from the Universtiy of Copenhagen. It truely is a beautiful example of neoclassical architecture. The natural light reflected by all the white on the interior walls and ceiling create a calming and strikingly beautiful space. It allows one to appreciate the details from the ceiling traced in gold leaf, to the sculptures of the twelve apostles, to the mosaic tiled floor in warm earthen tones. Definately a must see in the city and it is only two blocks from Gammel Torv and Strøget.

Each apostle is holding an article representing his profession (ie. Matthew with the tax rolls); however, Peter (a fisherman by trade) is holding a set of keys, signifying he held the keys of the Priesthood following the crucifixion of Christ. A WONDERFUL place to visit. The Spirit of the Holy Ghost is always there.
