STAY AWAY!
This hotel has a beautiful lobby, and a beautiful place on the roof to dine, and that is it. What an uncooperative staff, air conditioner barely worked, not outstanding for the money paid for this place--go someplace else. We just returned and would never consider it again. Venice smells and is overcrowded and Italilans are simply RUDE---glad to be home

Elogant and beautiful
Located in a restored 14th-century palace on the Grand Canal, the 130-room Hotel Danieli is only steps from the Piazza San Marco and numerous other Venice landmarks. In the warm weather, La Terrazza, the hotel's restaurant, serves rooftop with views of the city and the Aegean beyond. Mediterranean and regional cuisine are the menu's focus, and at the Dandolo piano bar, guests can enjoy appetizers and drinks. Hotel services include 24-hour concierge, dry cleaning and laundry, nightly turndown and complimentary shoe shine. The hotel is located only 15 minutes from private beaches and nearby a golf course. The guest are great and very friendly.Enjoy your stay and have fun.

WOW!!!
Its expensive but worth it. Our room was much larger than in any other european hotel we stayed at. The furnishing were elegant, with Murano glass light fixtures. It has a private boat and dock at your disposal. Staff was helpful. Central location is an added bonus

Great location
Great location. Easy water taxi access, drop off at door vs. walking like some hotels. Beautiful lobby. View from hotel rooms are good. Very clean. Hotel staff a bit snotty (maids were great though). Rooms were average but a bit bigger for Europe.

Highlight of our trip to Venice
We absolutely loved this hotel. We had an amazing view of the canals being right on the waterfront. It was evidently a former palace - and that is the way it felt when we stayed there.

Please!! This place is horrible
They must be joking!! This is AT BEST a 3 star hotel......and a badly managed one at that. With all due apologies to those who wrote good reviews of this dump.....I can only wonder if you may have been caught up in the undeniable romance of Venice.....and been blinded to the astoundingly bad service and room quality of this vastly overated and overpriced snake pit.
