An Average Experience
This was the first time my husband & I stayed in a hotel in New Orleans. We typically go for the Bed & Breakfast type places. The location was great, wonderful for walking. The only problem we experienced was upon leaving the hotel and trying to retrieve our car from the hotel's valet service/parking lot. There was a big race the morning we were leaving and it caused a lot of issues for the hotel staff. We were told by someone at the front desk to walk about 2 blocks to the gargage ourselves because of the ongoing race. The directions given were very poor and we felt lost pulling all our luggage through the streets. No one accompanied us or guided us where to go. Once we finally found the garage, the attendants could not locate our car. We waited like 2 hours at the gargage. Finally another hotel's employee drove us back to the hotel where our car was parked outside the hotel itself! We were very upset that no one seemed to know what was going on. We were delayed leaving New Orleans for our long drive back to Texas.

Will try the other Omni
Be careful with the front desk at this hotel. We has a reservation for a Jacuzzi room. My wife was the first to check into the room. The front desk gave her the jacuzzi room rate, but sent her to a standard room with out a Jacuzzi and said nothing to her. When she called down to the front desk the 1st time, they told her they were sold out and "sorry." She had to ask for the standard room rate before they gave it. In the end, they moved us to a Jacuzzi room, but I hate to think what would have happened had she not asked. Also, do not ask for walking or driving directions. The staff did not know about streets that were just 2 blocks away.

Quiet but in the middle of everything
The hotel is in the wedge between the French Quarter and the warehouse district, two blocks from Harrah's as well. Quiet, quaint work out area and jacuzzi on the roof. Staff was very helpful. Room was great, the one drawback was no free breakfast area. However, the diner across the street is great. Trolley goes in all directions. The amendities are not suited towards kids. Would definitely go back again.

loved our visit
My Daughter and I stayed at this hotel for four nights during Mardi Gras. We had a great stay the staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel is just close enough to great restaurants, Bourbon Street, the casino, the river walk and just far enough of a walk to the Cafe Du Monde to work up an appetite for their delicious beignet's. We walked just about everywhere we went. We loved our stay and I would definately stay there again.

I loved this hotel !!
I stayed at this hotel for three nights this month and could not have enjoyed it more. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and the rooftop hot tub was out of this world. While speaking with other guests of the hotel, I found out how much they liked the hotel also. It is close enough to Bourbon Street to safely walk there and back at night, and far enough away so that you don't have to hear the noise when you want to relax or sleep. I have to admit that I travel a lot and have NEVER received the genuine hospitality that I received during my stay here. I recommend this hotel, and I will definitely stay here again during my next visit.

Excellent Stay!
We stayed here for a week during Jazz Fest and had a great time. The hotel is very close to the French Quarter and was very reasonably priced. The entire staff was friendly and accomodating. They have free wireless internet, which was a great amenity and saved money and time over dial-up. The bathroom was huge with jacuzzi tub. Will highly recommend this hotel to others and will definitely stay here again! There is a great little restaurant across the street for homemade breakfasts at a good price.
