The Museo Diocesano is housed in an annex building of the Amara Parish Church of the Holy Family, built in 1962. The museum's collection consists mainly of painting and sculptures, though its collection of precious metalwork is especially impressive. The objects are exhibited in chronological order, beginning in the 13th century and continuing to the present day. The main source of the collection is the San Sebastian Diocese, though several items have come from private donations and others are temporary loans.
