Back to Hilton Houston Post Oak smoking was so bad the cigarette smoking in this "non smoking hotel" was so bad and the hotel staff would not do anything to stop the smokers.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 15 2009 Wonderful Wedding I had my wedding reception at the Hilton Post Oak a year ago. It was absolutely fantastic! The attention to every little detail was perfect. We several guests that stayed at the hotel for several days and almost 500 guests at our reception. All of our guests were all impressed by the hotel and staff during their stay. Our out of town guests really enjoyed the proximity of the hotel to near-by attractions.
Reviewed by: Anita from on Jun 04 2009 Take Caution My wife and I arrived at the hotel on a Friday evening. The hotel was really busy with a gala, so the lobby was extremely crowded. The check in staff was friendly and very quick with the check in. We were upgraded to a junior suite, but when we got to the room we discovered the suite was two queen beds instead of the king room we reserved. I called down to the front desk and was told that there were no other rooms available, but after they checked some more they found a king room, but not a suite. The room that we had faced the back of the Maggiano's restaurant, which on a Friday night was quite loud. We left the hotel Saturday afternoon for a day around the city. The hotel is in a great location with restaurants and shopping all nearby. We arrived back at the hotel at 4 p.m. and our room hadn't been cleaned. Housekeeping came to the door at 4:45, and then we found out that the hotel was going to be without power for the next four to six hours. The outage was to begin at 5 p.m. With this being Valentine's Day it really ruined our plans for dinner, as it was impossible to get ready in the dark. The hotel moved us to the Marriott West Loop, I called the manager at the Hilton to express how poor the rooms were at the Marriott. He was extremely rude. I had been on hold for 15 minutes, and could have cared less. He even hung up on me because I asked for a room that was comparable to what we paid for. The staff at the Marriott on the other hand was fantastic. Through no fault of their own they apologized to us for the problems at the Hilton. The front desk staff even brought a rose up to my wife.
Reviewed by: Not a Fan from on Feb 28 2009 Very good stay Comfortable, clean and stress-free stay. Will stay there again. Walking distance to the Galleria and other locations I needed to visit. Only negative thing is the Hilton charges for everything. (ie parking $14 dollars a day, internet approx $11 dollars a day but I guess what can one expect.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 09 2006 BED IS LIKE HEAVEN We totally loved our stay. The new renovations are so nice and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. I stay in hotels alot and this bed was by far the most comfortable. We thought the price was a little high but we will definitely stay there again.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 11 2006 Nice place Stayed here for a few days. It was close enough to the Gallariea to walk. Gives great exercise. The brunch they have is exquisite, plus they have some of the best bellhops in the city. I hope it does well for years to come.
Reviewed by: Jeremy r from on Jan 07 2006 Amazing place Great staff. Front desk went out of their way to help me. Any minor hiccops that would have occured was already taken care of before I even checked in! Price isnt that bad when you think of the great quality and service you get. Im going to start their HHonors program! This hotel is wonderful!
