BEWARE!!!
Poor experience to say the least. The walls are thin with music that played in the lobby till 11:30pm that kept us up. Also beware that they charge a $90 incidental fee per day to your credit card and hold it for 48 hours, that would have not been so bad if they would have told us. It would have been nice to be able to use that money while we were on vacation. I have slept better in 1 star hotels and I mean the cheap one's. On the flip side the rooms are beautiful and have very comfortable beds.

Modern and great Concierge
My wife and I stayed here for four days. We were getting to know the city for the first time and used the concierge service extensively. She was outstanding and the young front desk staff was extremely friendly.

A Very Sopisticate Hotel
We recently stayed at the hotel for four days. It is a wonderful hotel. The rooms are amazing as are the great beds with the huge duvets. The restaurants- especially Chez Collette- are also great. The staff are wondeful and very helpful. I would certainly stay there again and I would highly recommend the hotel.

Our favorite hotel in Minneapolis
My wife and I head to Minneapolis 2 to 3 times a year to see family. We've stayed other places in the past, but the last few years we've stayed at the Sofitel Minneapolis exclusively. It's in a great location, just moments from Mall of America and a short drive to most other places of interest. We love the ambience of the hotel (European and Cosmopolitan), especially the lobby and restaurants in the hotel. There's live music and people sitting around drinking coffee or having a drink. Also, we have a small dog and Sofitel has no problems with such a pet. We usually get one of the smaller rooms (keeps it affordable) but its plenty of room and the beds are wonderfully comfortable. We've never had any problems with staff ever, but I am sure such things could happen at any hotel. Last thing, I always get room service at least once on our trips and they have a great ribeye and my wife loves the French Onion Soup and Quiche. Join the Sofitel Rewards program (totally free) on their website and you get a free drink upon arrival and are allowed a later check-out time (my memory says it is 3pm or 4pm). As you can tell, I am a fan of this hotel and I'll be back up there later this summer.

Late night drink and knosh
A friend and I stopped for a drink one Wednesday evening. Each person we encountered was helpful, smiling, courteous, and made our evening perfect! The cheese selections the maitre'd suggested were sumptuous, my vodka gimlet perfect, my friends vodka martini was the same. I want to move in and stay for the rest of my life! A wonderful experience!

Very impressed!!!
From the flowers and chocolate and turn down service, to the unique decor, my wife and I were made to feel special in a very special place. The room was great, the food was unmatched and the service beyond our wildest expectations. On a scale of 1 to 10, this hotel rates a 20!

A romantic weekend!
I stayed at the Minneapolis Sofitel for a weekend getaway and had a great experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were tasteful and the beds were extremely comfortable. And the best part: a continental breakfast in bed was included the next morning. Coffee, tea, fresh fruit, gourmet pastries... it was fabulous!

Best French feel , can't wait to return
We really enjoyed the hotel and the resturants. They seemed eager to please and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and wanted us to tell them what we wanted and were very careful to detail. We will stay again soon. The food was very good and the finest French food we have tasted. The rooms were nicely laid out and clean. No Smoking rooms were great.

Wonderful and luxurious
I expected the room to be a standard one bed, one room, one tv, and a tiny bathroom. Instead, I got a queen bed, a large bathroom with a shower/bath, a luxurious and spacious living room with two couches, a table, and a large TV AND a walk in kitchen with counter tops, stools, cabinets, coffee maker and a fridge and microwave. It was magnificent. Also, reasonably cheap considering the location and the comparitive prices of all toehr hotels around.
