Mid-late afternoon lunch, this place was great
Very nice pizzas and house wine at 3pm. Thin crunchy crusts, margherita and four cheese varieties. Very nice service, English speaking waitress. Sat outside in quirky piazza beside very quiet old austere church where lots of people were just hanging out in the sun. We found it completely by accident and then read the reviews and quite heartily agree it's a good place for lunch or late afternoon after getting off the train hungry!

Heavely afternoon
What a place! After the whole busy day spent on sightseeing I left the Gardens of Boboli and went to the square of Santo Spirito. I noticed a large garden in front of the Borgo and lots of people therein. A good sign - to eat out where the locals dine is always advisable :)

Our Favorite meal!
My family and I spent about 2 weeks in Florence and Rome and this was one of our favorite meals of the trip! Although we never encountered bad food at any resturant, this little place in Piazza Santo Spirito offers delicious food in huge portions. It is in a wonderful location and we ate with a mixture of tourists and locals. All 4 of us got different dishes and all of them were fabulous, especially the fresh pasta with lobster which reminded us of our great-grandmother's italian cooking.

Beset dining experience in Florence.
Our party of 8 was welcomed with open arms. Paola, our waitress, was charming as were the 4 chefs in the kitchen - very engaging and entertaining. The music was a mix CD that one of the staff put together which was a bit of egyptian, moroccan, italian and very lively. We wished we could have copied it. The food was delicious. The avocado and shrimp salad was mouth watering and the pasta was scrumptous. We felt like family and will definitely go back there on our next trip to Florence. It would totally be a great place for an intimate dinner for two as well. Thanks for the wonderful memories.

Great Food.
I loved the fact that if you sit outside, they put you at a table that other people are already sitting at, I had my supper next to this awesome german couple, and we ended up chatting the rest of the night away over a bottle of wine. I highly recommend the "hot mixed seafood" dish, its HUGE, with tons of lemon and butter to boot. great bread and olives also.

A good find by happy accident
Charming atmosphere, slightly hip, with delicious Tomato Bread soup !! Good variety of menu selections. We found it because we had wanted to visit the church but it was closed for renovations. A fun adventure across the River Arno. Walk back along the Antique Row to the Bridge leading to Piazza S. Trinita and the shopping street of Via Tornabuoni.

A Favorite restaurant in Florence
After studying abroad in Florence for four months, my friend and I went to this restaurant 5 times. We really like seafood, and in Florence good fish is really hard to come by. My favorite dishes are the hot mixed seafood plate, a heaping bowl of shellfish large enough to split between 2 or 3 people. If you like mussels, clams, prawns, shrimps, calamari it is truly unbelievable. Another favorite is the salmon with mixed grilled vegetables, also large enough to split. The salmon comes in a large skillet, grillled to perfection. The prices are great and entrees are all under 20 euro. Definitely go!
