Would not stay again
The rooms are small even for european standards. It did have some charm. If you have any drinks in the bar make sure you see your bill before you return to your room. If you're not careful four drinks will end up costing you 60 euros. I know it says it's off the beaten path, but they don't tell you how far. There aren't any restaurants close to the hotel.

Beautiful hotel! A great getaway!
My husband and I spent the last few days of our honeymoon in Venice and this was our hotel. It was picked by the travel agent, so we didn't know what to expect, but needless to say we were blown away. After the bigger hotels in Rome and Florence, this hotel was just what we needed to end our trip. It was quiet and peaceful with a beautifully landscaped courtyard and it of course looks out onto the Adriatic sea. It was incredibly romantic!

Nice Atmosphere
Had a nice stay. Friendly, helpfull staff. Nice room nice decorations, garden was a plus. Realtively "reasonablely" priced for a Venice hotel. A little away from San Marco - about a 30 min walk. Shuttle was convient and public boats stop nearby. However good to be away from crowds. I think the hotel captured the atmosphere of Venice. Only complaint was breakfast which was on expensive side for what was offered. About 15 min walk to nearby resturants. Overall a very enjoyable stay

Value lost in translation
$1,200/day for a suite....It was any thing but sweet. First of all it was a double, the staff confirmed that the unit we stayed in is usually billed as a double, but they over booked the suites. I was still billed as if I was in a suite. Next they never made the bed, cleaned the unit and the plumbing was terrible. We were woken on both nights by loud pipes (singing pipes). The bathroom was tiny even for Europe. The internet and computer we were promised, never was provided. The location is sub-par, the accomadations 3 star....spend your money any where else in Europe and find a better deal.

What a wonderful place!
My husband and I spent our 1st anniversary at Dei Dogi and could not have asked for a better hotel. The entire staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. They even arranged for a boat to pick us up from there to take us over to Murano. I highly recommend this. Overall hotel was very clean and comfortable and restaurant was delicious. Of the three weeks in Italy, this was definitely the best place we stayed. It is a little away from everything but a very short walk! It was nice and quiet. We can't wait to go back!!!

Just Atrocious
I hated this hotel! I will never stay in it again. I usually pick good hotels on my weekly trips to Italy, but this one was just horrible!
