Back to Casa Robles 2009 and 2008 visits Consistently good service and food. We always go here first for tapas and dinner. (Note that tapas are not served following major holidays; which explains the other bad review; the menu spells this out clearly in ENGLISH).
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 03 2009 Awful Service Stopped at Casa Robles with my family a day or two after Christmas for tapas and drinks. Waiter was totally disinterested. Finally said "NO TAPAS" like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld even though their sign and awning advertise tapas bar. He made no alernate recommendations and slammed down our drinks. We felt like sitting there was a personal affront to him. Will never go back.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 18 2009 Bull's Tail - OLE! We spent a few weeks travelling thoroughout Spain to sample the local cuisine of each region earlier this year and the single most memorable dining experience we had was the Bull's Tail in Casa Robles. It was simply magnificent and I can't wait to go back for more. Highly recommended!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 12 2008 Good food, but brusque service We were recommended this restaurant by a clerk in a shop where we were buying clothes, so we thought we couldn't go wrong. We had the concierge at the Hotel Alfonso XIII (the best in town) make the reservation, so we thought we would have a nice table. Wrong! We were placed at a table next to the waiters' station; it felt like we were sitting in the corridor of a train station--waiters were practially bumping us when they walked by. We asked (in fluent Spanish) to be moved to a vacant table out of the line of fire, but the maitre d' wasn't much interested in doing that--he gave that table to some locals who came in a few minutes later (and who, by the way, were enjoying their first glass of wine by the time the maitre came to take our order.) The service was totally lacking in finesse and refinement: two of the waiters were having a running argument which we could easiy hear; the unsmiling maitre was chastising another inexperienced waiter; our wine was opened and then placed on the table with an audible thump; bread was not replenished promptly; we had to flag down waiters whenever we wanted something, etc., etc. The couple next to us complained that their bill was wrong ( it was, and it was fixed) and an Englishman at another table was visibly upset because he thought that he had been brought the wrong desert and couldn't get satisfaction from the wait staff. We couldn't wait to finish what was on our plate and leave. It's a shame about the shambolic service, because the food was quite good, and had we had a better table, we probably would have tolerated the amateurish service. It's also a shame because we found extraordinarily friendly and warm service everywhere else we went in Seville. Seville is a charming and fascinating place, and the food is wonderful. Maybe the lesson here is to go to Yahoo Travel before booking a table instead of asking for advice in a clothing shop.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 31 2007 we eat both lunch and dinner here I am in Sevilla 2 or 3 times a year and always eat here. The lenguado a la plancha and cold gambas are always excellent as is the seafood stew . the boquerones(fresh white anchovies in vinegar) are as good as any anywhere even in the great seafood houses in Madrid. The alcaparones(caper berries) that they put on your table as complementary are fresh and not salty like ones shipped in jars.Simply put it is world class and not to be missed if you are here.

I think it is awful that it is possible via this web site for someone to damage a restaurants renome like the other testimony. We have had a really good experience and can recomend the restaurant to everyone.Unfortunately are the world full of negative people and is always those you hear.
