The modern facade of this lovely edifice, which dates from 1891, was renovated in 1986, preserving the fine stonework, colonnades, friezes and wrought-iron balconies of the original structure. The renovation also included a complete interior makeover, and the adjacent property was annexed as well. The entrance hall has a magnificent pentagonal skylight, and the bedrooms have been luxuriously decorated in the style of a 19th-century mansion, which was the former niche of the building! The views from the rooftop terrace of the Passeig de Gràcia are unforgettable. The hotel's restaurant, Lasarte, just down the street, is European nouvelle cuisine at its finest.
