Dont miss this place. Its a nice break from the crowds and museums. The palace is every bit as ornate in art as the Vatican in Rome. This is a quiet, peaceful oasis with rich history and beautiful gardens!

The palace/museum is one of the best in Florence! The gardens I thought were a little run down, and for the 8 euro per person charge, i expected it to look more like the "jardin du luxembourg" in Paris, which is beautiful and free..... I actually think that Central Park in NYC is a lot nicer than the boboli gardens.

Was there summer 2001. Maybe it's improved since. We thought the place was run down- not much going on- you "got" the general idea of what the gardens were like when planned- but flower beds were overgrown, fountains were green with algae- not much going on horticuluturally. Is that a word?

Last spring I visited my sister in Florence and Boboli Gardens was absolutely beautiful. After walking around for awhile, we just sat in the grass and had the most beautiful view. It was amazing to see everything inside and equally amazing to just sit and stare.

i loved it very very intersesting and good fun. a chance to muck about with my mates!!!!!!!!!!! a lovey exprience fab fab fab i loved the paintings must come again in fact i'll come to florence next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I went to the gardens as an after thought after trying to get into the art galleries and museums (all of which had extremely long lines), but what a surprise! We had the most relaxing time enjoying the beautiful gardens. The water fountains and the gardens were very beautiful and view of Florence was amazing. We highly recommend spending a couple of hours checking it out.

The Boboli Gardens were the first place we went in Florence. The view from the top levels of the garden is amazing. Make sure you leave plenty of time to wander through the gardens as there is something to discover in every nook and cranny. Also, I would recommend seeing the Gardens early in the day and then taking a break. There is a lot of stairs and uphill climbs that are likely to wear you out. Definitely worth the time and energy!!
