Back to Hotel Antigua Best Experience Ever Had a big group of us and the hotel was perfect. Great hospitality, perfect service all made for a perfect memory of a wonderful time at the Hotel and of Antigua. Highly Recommended
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 27 2009 Wonderful weekend getaway Our room was across the street from the main hotel, and at the end of the hallway. Unfortunately, it meant that a hot shower or bath required 20 minutes + of letting the hot water run. The room was nice and cozy, but the beds were like rocks. I loved the pool area, and poolside service was great. Our buffet breakfast was great. It set us up for the short walk to the center square of town and days spent shopping and sipping cafe con leche. The staff spoke great English, and even allowed me to practice my limited Spanish with them. Drink prices were a bit off, a pina colada was Q26, while a margarita was Q46. Seemed rather odd.
Reviewed by: KG1109 from on Mar 22 2008 not worth the money Over priced. Be sure your quote does or does not include the breakfeast. Some rooms are very noisey. The first room we were given (307) was extremely noisey and I had a hard time getting it changed, they tried to charge me $40. per day more for the new room.It was very dissappointing the treatment for the prices that they charge. As for the breakfast I was told it was included then when I arrived was told it was extra.Another dissappointment.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 29 2008 Great Experience Nicely located, close to the center square in walking distance. Large hotel but maintains local charm. Rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable, food and service is good. As all things in Antigua, it's relaxing and calm.
Reviewed by: Gregory from on Jan 15 2008 Stunning! I agree with the other reviewers as to the beauty of this splendid hotel (with live parrots in the garden) but wanted to add that it has a gorgeous pool, a family-friendly atmosphere, and an English-speaking staff. We stayed in a beautiful two-level room with a private patio, a fireplace and a view of the volcanos. Our only complaint was a wedding going on in the bar area and the sound permeated to our roon. Excellent food, also.
Reviewed by: Kirsten from on Jun 24 2006 Great place to stay The hotel is a great get away. The grounds are Lovely. It is close to the center of the city and within walking distance to most everything. Security is another nice quality.

Reviewed by: nate from on Feb 20 2006 We almost got overcharged !!! I went with a group of friends and we rented several rooms. To ease the check out process weve decided to pay all the rooms all in one bill, but the bill came out unreasonably high. After we ask for separated bills we found out that they overcharge us by more than 50% !!!! The only explanation they gave us was that they put the wrong rooms in the bill. (But when we asked for separate bills they have no problem to pull out the right rooms). They The location of the Hotel was good, only 3 blocks to Plaza Mayor, but it was a bad experience.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 22 2006 Execellent way to wind down after a week's mission trip! The rooms were spacious and clean. Personnel were very friendly and accomodating. Food was excellent and the location of the hotel was within walking distance of the majority of the tourist areas. Beautiful place. Returning again in 2005 after our mission is finished in ChiChi.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 06 2005 Highly recommended This hotel is in a good location a few blocks south of the Parque Central. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, from the beautifully decorated room to the lushly landscaped grounds. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet on the patio is wonderful.
