A former missile station, the Titan Missile Museum offers tours for the general public throughout the day. However for those with a more inquisitive mind and with an urge to explore deeper into the area, the museum also offers the Beyond the Blastdoor tours. Generally closed to the public, the museum allows entry on every first and third Saturday of the month into the inner depths of the place. Visit the places of residence and mess of the crew, go 100 feet below ground zero, step in the launch duct and also take the chance to stand directly under an actual Titan II missile!

Here's a museum south of Tucson that must surely be considered unique and a chilly reminder of the Cold War. Go underground and see one of the old Titan ballistic missiles, watch the roll-back silo door open, follow operations at the launch control center, and watch demonstrations of countdown procedures. Tours begin every half hour. To reach Titan Missile Museum, go south on Interstate 19 and take exit 69 to the Duval Mine Road and follow the signs.NYC Best Hotel Deals: 50% Savings In New York!
