This is an amazing hotel but you must not depend on your reservation as there were several hundred people bumped because they decided to have a telethon group stay at their hotel the night we were booked. In fact we did not find out until late in the evening after a long day of ministry. This is a warning to all - even though I have stayed in this hotel many times, it just isn't worth taking a chance.

My church group was on a mission trip to work with the orphanage. We stayed at the hotel when we arrived and had reservations for when we returned to Guatemala City. On our way to the hotel we called to confirm our reservation they had cancelled our reservation. They had not called our cell phone or given any notice. Later we found they had done the same thing to another church mission group! This was very disappointing because the reservations had been made months in advance. Now we are afraid to stay in this lovely hotel for fear the same thing will happen. God Bless!

Grand tikal futura is a great hotel to stay at hands down!! It is located behind tikal futura shopping mall you have everything u can think of right next to it!! the ppl at the hotel are great! everyone is super nice everyone is very acomidating. the hotel is very well kept. THE FOOD is GREAT!! breakfast that the hotels buffet was delious. i would def stay at this hotel again. especially with there great prices

I was upgraded to a suite upon arrival because of overbooking - no complaint from me! However, the A/C was not working properly. Maintenance was fantastic - I did not mind lending an assist and this little guy then knocked himself out to make sure that any and every little old thing about my suite was taken care of in an eyeblink the rest of my stay. The hotel was immaculate, the staff courteous & everpresent - but unobtrusive.

This is a fabulous hotel. It is absolutely incredible. It is amazing to see the staff treat you like royalty, feed you incredible food, and then stay in rooms fit for a king. I don't know why anyone would want to stay anywhere else. I have to mention the staff again. It seems that everyone from the bellman to the room service people, to the waiters...they all have one thing in mind...making sure that your stay is unforgettable. We happen to be there for an adoption, and it was a safe, loving place to meet our new child. We cannot wait to go back.

I enjoyed the wonderful size and view of our honeymoon suite. It was large enough to play soccer inside and wonderful enough to have a spectacular view of Guatemala City. There was also a concert almost every month and the laundry service is excellent, not to exclude the food and shopping center attached to the hotel. I definitely recommend this Hotel.

We were staying in the city for a night before our flight left in the morning, and just wanted to be closer to the airport. We were wonderfully surprised by the hotel. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, the bed was comfortable, the sheets were the nicest I've ever been on in a hotel. We enjoyed the pool, the workout facilities, and the breakfast in the morning was wonderful. We'll definately go back.

the price its to much to be in a place that dollars last to much. better prices make more people to an empty place like that, try it and you will see. its a great place the view to the volcano its spectacular the service is great very comfortable rooms etc.

I liked the five star service. They realy made us feel like were part of there family.They also have a good restaurant in the hotel.But ifyou don't want to eat in thehotel, just eat in the mall, which is part of the Tikal Futura complex.

This was defintly the best hotel i ever stayed it. It was beutiful and was very cozy. I went to the gym, sauna and the impecable restraunt everyday, which offered a breakfast buffet every morning, they made omelets right in front of your eyes ! The staff was very friendly and the service was great. And i can't forget to mention how pretty the in-door pool was that also had 3 hot tubes tons of plants surrounded the tiled pool. To get the effect you will just have to go there because there is too much to write in words.
