Want to return with kids
The Timothy Beach Resort on St. Kitts was our firt visit to that part of the world. My wife and I loved the quiet nature of the resort and beach. It has a unique location being right on the beach on the Caribean and only a short walk from the Atlantic.

Quiet Retreat
I loved the tranquil setting of this hotel, Its literally right on the beach front. The restaurant is small but beautifully placed as it is in the open air and just a few feet from the lapping waves of the caribbean sea.The food was delicious and well presented although the service was alittle slow sometimes this is to be expected of course in the Caribbean. The owner is English and very friendly! We saw him chasing a large pig that had strayed into the hotel grounds! I loved coming out of my room and finding monkeys sitting on the wall outside. There is a nice swimming pool with great views over the bay and the sunsets are fabulous when dining at the aptly named sunset restaurant! All the staff are friendly and the rooms are large with very large balconies. i went with my husband last time and next time Im taking the rest of the family including my two year old granchild. If you like the quiet life and getting back to nature you will love this small friendly hotel its so different from the huge marriott down the road!

"Timothy Beach is not a resort (Timothy Beach Motel)"
We stayed at Timothy Beach for 8 Days. Never Again!!!! This was not a resort.. It should be called Timothy Beach Motel. All beaches in St. Kitts are public beaches and the beaches were very filthy. The pool at Timothy Beach was not clean and was very very small with 1980 rusty lawn chairs around the pool. The restraurant on site was horrible and was very expensive. It cost around $50 for 2 burger, 2 glasses of very bad wine and 2 glasses of rum/coke. They cooked the food on 1950's style grills and one day I noticed that the seafood was frozen store bought and not fresh. There was also no deadbolts on the door and no safe in the rooms. It seemed like everyone that worked there had keys for all the rooms. We brought our own portable safe and we are glad we did.

A Perfect Week!
Have just returned from 7 nights at TBR. Only disappointment - we didn't book for 14 nights!! This is the real Caribbean. The setting is great - right on the beach. The ocean view room we had was huge with a large balcony and loungers. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. We only used it to sleep and shower in anyway. We only ate at the cafe for breakfast - it was OK but nothing special. Plenty of other places to eat at so not really a problem. On the whole the staff were friendly. There's places to eat and drink on the beach which does get busy when the cruise ships come in. We loved it and can't wait to go back! St Kitts is very low key and unspoilt. Everyone is very friendly and even the beach vendors are charming! Let's hope this does not become another over developed island - the beauty of this place is it's under developed state. Try the horse back riding into the rain forest with Trinity Stables - wonderful!

Greatest Stay on an Island
Loved the fact that my entire family (5 adults and 2 children) was able to stay in one unit. Service was great. Hotel is safe and clean. Beach is just a short walk over. The price was very affordable.

Loved TBR. Better than Marriott
Back from a 4 day stay at TBR in the last week of January. We had a 1-bedroom suite. Loved the room, in particular the balcony which was perfect for lying in the sun. Though we walked alot to the Marriott for dining, we loved TBR more b/c it's quiet and non-commercial and actually feels like an isolated Caribbean island resort, rather than at a big tourist resort that could be anywhere. The staff is friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. TBR sits against a big hill which makes for a cozy tropical feel. The beach is great. The only negative was the food which was alright for some meals. However lots of options are nearby and it gave us a chance to explore the island.
