Video Guides 1 ,2 ,3 With a name like Old Homestead, you know that this restaurant has either been around awhile, or is just pretending to be. Happily, the former is the case-Old Homestead first opened in 1868, and it remains a straightforward, old-fashioned steakhouse. Therefore, it is perhaps surprising that the most coveted item on the menu is Kobe beef from Japan, which costs around $100 a portion. Thankfully, there are steaks galore at less breathtaking prices, and the portions are extremely generous.2 ¢/min and up – call home from over 100 countries!http://travel.comfi.com/Best Value. Of all the steak houses in New York, you had to come through my door. This place is a class act with ambience, style, and food worthy of the Mayor himself. Visit and enjoy. If you are hungry, try the Flinstone Steak, not really called that, but enough meat to serve as Bam Bam's club. Cooked to perfection, one will not be disappointed.
