Back to Jekyll and Hyde Club Terrible Food!! 15 teaching staff took a party of 130 teenage students from the U.K. to the Jekyll and Hyde club a couple of nights ago. I can't actually recollect a meal I've had as bad as this one. They were charged over $50 a head for undercooked burgers and chicken (many were actually frozen inside!!) and pizza, which simply defied description. We came in three equal sized groups; out of the first 70 meals, which came out, about 58 were returned. These meals later came out of the kitchen still undercooked. Our students aren't particularly fussy, but there wasn't a single positive comment about it. No refunds were offered; just a lame, insincere apology. Having put the health of our students at risk on this massive scale during a holiday for which the children had saved for two years, we had no option but to contact the city Health Department about this place. The kitchen of this establishment can't be functioning properly with this level of problem evident, Avoid this place!!! We certainly will. Absolutely appalled. A poor reflection on this great city!
Reviewed by: TeacherD from on Nov 05 2008 very upsetting I've been to the Jekyll and Hyde club a few times before and liked it. Me and my boyfriend and best friend decided to go this past weekend for my birthday. HUGE disappointment! We waited forever to get in and get seated because of a huge group of teenie-boppers that were there for a party. We finally got seated and they LOST our appitizer. It just never came out and they said they wouldnt charge us for it... but we couldnt have it. OR we could have it AFTER our meal... WHAT?! The prices had been raised and they brought the wrong burger! The food they brought was more expensive than what we ordered but we ate it anyway because we were so tired of waiting... no salt or pepper or ANYTHING on the table. The seats had fries from the past customers stuck in them and the waitress was slow serving... NOT to mention everybody who's birthday it was EXCEPT mine... got desert and was sung to! BUT not me... which was so upsetting since I told them it was my birthday and I was really looking foward to it. My boyfriend tried to make it so special but it sucked. I HATE YOU jekyll and hyde ... DONT bother going... PLUS my friends got sick from the food on more than one occasion.. horrible
Reviewed by: StephanieC from on Sep 15 2008 Do NOT go here unless you want to waste your money and time and be really frustrated. I took a group of 78 to J & H Club. They cashed our $3,200 check for a 2-hour private party. No salads were ever received, 20% of guests did not receive food at all, the food that was finally delivered - after THREE HOURS of waiting and excuses - was horrible. Management will not offer any refund, even for the food that was never delivered. The will not return phone calls or email.
