Long ago, during the days when alcohol was prohibited throughout the United States, Jimmy Kelly's was a little known place to go in Nashville for some of the forbidden elixir. Old-timers fondly remember the succulent steaks and warm atmosphere of this homey Southern restaurant. You can still come here for a delicious steak today. Toss back a beer or two and relax, while the white-gloved wait staff attends to your every need. Dine on the outdoor patio or the glassed-in porch when the temperature allows.

Dont waste your time
With all the rant and raves about this place, my husband and I where very excited to enjoy an evening meal at a new place. We thought wrong. From the get go, the customer service was very bad. We ordered water for our drink and where given glasses that you would have found in a cafeteria, at the hospital. You know the ones that hold maybe 6 ounces and are scratched up glass. When we asked for larger glasses the waiter was not happy. My thoughts are you need to have a drink from the bar to get in with the servers. We where never told the specials, what the dinners come with, or any thing about our meal. When we received our meal my husbands steak was smaller then the half of lemon that was on his plate. It also in came with 2 shrimp. WOW!! To our surprise the meals came with a potato, we where not given an option or information on that. So we ordered a side for two of the stir-fried vegetables and broccoli. What we where brought was a dessert cup of lemon peppered summer squash and peppers. As for the Broccoli it was covered thickly with Velveeta cheese. NOT GOOD. When we where deciding on how to choke down this meal, the waiter behind us let the customers know all the specials and things and options for the meal. By this time we are not happy at all. So it was time to leave, no desert or coffee for us. So we ask for the check. $78.00 dollars later we left with a very sour taste and both of us where up sick all night long. We have been all over the country and been to many great places to eat. All from a greasy spoon to a 5 star. But this one by far is the worst on the list. We will never recommend or go to this place again. Don’t waste your time or money.
