The show we saw was horrible! We were told the Next Step Teen Talent Show would be some of the most talented teenagers fom the area. The singing (8 not so talented teens) was a nightmare. They walked up to a microphone and screamed every song, most not even in tune. They had one magic show that was a joke, and one rock band that played too loud and we couldn't even here the singing. We kept thinking, as the show went on, there would be more and more talented performers, but the show lasted one hour and not one of the teens was worth the price we paid. The doorman was also rude to me, my daughters, and some of the other people who attended the performance. When I tried to complain, I was told to call a certain number. When I called, I received a voicemail which said they return calls within 24 hours. That was four days ago, hence the reason for this review. Don't waste your money for bad entertainment and old, rude volunteers who should stay out of public service. Shame on the administration for letting such rude people "help" run their establishment, and for not listening to any, or all complaints from the public.
Nominal tickets $25 for a local chorale group. Parking prices excessive and be careful when leaving your car. Safety in numbers. Not for your general community folks. Stick to Sawgrass mills and local theater groups as in Wilton Manors where entertainment is for all citizens.
The Broward Center is a beautiful facility with private balconies! Antoher bonus was that the parking garage is connected to the hall. The performers were also top knoch!
