J.W. Goethe, Germany's greatest playwright, used to relax in this cider garden after his walks. But, nowadays, the Gerbermühle attracts a cross-section of people keen to take in the unique atmosphere of this wonderful riverside establishment. The menu includes traditional German specialties such as schnitzel and roulade (beef roll) or indulge in delicious potato soup croûtons, veal cutlets with fried potatoes, or wild herb salads with cheese. The beautiful old-fashioned dining room next to the mill is popular during the winter months.
