Overview

Standing at 234 meters, Fukuoka Tower is the largest seaside tower in Japan. Although admission for adults is hefty at JPY800 (JPY500 for students, JPY200 for children), the panoramic view of the ocean, mountains, and city might be well worth it. There is also a cafe at 120 meters, and several shops are located on the first floor. The architecture, incorporating 8,000 mirrors, is quite beautiful, especially at night.

      Christmas Vibeby Yahoo | 2007-01-22 07:03:34 |

I went to the top of the Fukuoka Tower during winter-break. Look down from the tower, there was a beautiful shopping center situated just beside the seaside. It was so beautiful, the shopping center was as real as the building in cartoon world. There was also a tall Christmas tree there. At night the illumination of the Fukuoka Tower was so beautiful. Moreover, the JAL building and the Fukuoka Dome were near to this place.

      I love it!!! Place is good, food is nice!!!by Yahoo | 2005-02-26 16:56:14 |

I didn' t see anything bad. All shops at the first floor were very good also.

The Fukuoka tower offers a superb views of the city and the ocean. Visiting at nightime allows one the chance to contemplate the modern cityscape of this ancient international port. I also might add that the tower is not crowded and is very romantic at nightime. The restaurant is inexpensive and the staff uniforms are quite charming. My only complaint is that the resturant serves "international" fare instead of solely pure Japanese cuisine.
